Job description:
The Technical Drafter assists project designers in creating the necessary technical documentation for the development, certification, and production of lighting fixtures. This includes:
3D Modeling using Autodesk Inventor
Manufacturing drawings
Workshop drawings and assembly instructions
Product installation sheets using Adobe Illustrator
Electrical wiring diagrams
The Technical Drafter is also responsible for:
Taking measurements and interpreting them
Conducting the necessary research to create drawings using available documentation
Interpreting technical information regarding materials and manufacturing processes
Performing any other related tasks that may assist in the completion of projects
Completing the documentation associated with the drafting work
Required Qualifications:
Technical drawing courses (DEP or AEC)
Proficiency in Inventor, Illustrator (an asset)
Versatility, resourcefulness, attention to detail
Knowledge of linear (an asset)
