Production Analyst

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Production Analyst will work closely with the Production Director to monitor project profitability and to develop and implement projects. More specifically, the tasks of the analyst consist of:

  • Monitor inventory status and generate inventory reports to Production Manager; 

  • Perform inventory management according to sales budget and forecast.  

  • Plan equipment, material and labor requirements to meet production schedule; 

  • Establish and develop the proper and more effective methods of work and monitor production effectiveness; 

  • Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning work flow, space requirements, and equipment layout; 

  • Design and develop standard production procedures, policies and documentation in order to optimize workflow; 

  • Provide manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs; 

  • Provide Make or buy analysis and products costs analysis from different technologies/production methods. 

  • Measures and optimize cycle times and production cells efficiency 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field; 

  • Or experience in a similar position; 

  • Strong problem solving skills; 

  • Strong written and verbal communication; 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); 

  • Thrive in a result-oriented environment;   

  • Works well as part of a collaborative team; 

  • Well organized, with the ability to multi-task and lead multiple projects; 

  • Experience in the lighting business would be an asset.
